SG 245a 6d Dull Purple (OCP) M32 (-) block of eight in fine to very fine used condition. Very attractive, dated Gaddesby CDS cancellations complementing to each. Horizontal wrinkle seen on upper row to the right hand stamp just above the value tablet and lower row, stamp three has a small tear to lower margin by C of PENCE noted. Huge retail as individual stamps but would of course be sacrilege to split such a piece in search of larger profits that would follow from individual sale of the perfect copies contained. Printed on the early, thin experimental chalk paper and I will be amazed if this is not the largest used block of this value and shade by some distance.
